Apprentice training

From 2009 employers will be able to choose The Australian Academy of Beauty and Spa Therapy rather than Tafe for their Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy WRB40105

This is government funded and absolutely no charge to you or the apprentice

Our training program has been especially structured with salon owners in mind. First units covered will be manicures and pedicures, lash and brow treatments followed by body massage and facials.

Face to face teaching will be completed one day a week for a year.

Our trainers are in regular contact with salon owners, advising what has been learnt in class, what needs to be practiced in the workplace and ensuring salon needs are being met at every stage of training. Students enrolled in the apprenticeship program will be able to proceed onto the Diploma of Beauty Therapy if they wish at a greatly reduced cost.

The classes are available at Bella Vista, North Strathfield and Chatswood.

Apprentices can also study their Certificate IV by distance learning which now means apprentices in the country areas can now study with us.

Apprentices need to attend our Bella Vista campus for three four day workshops ( total of twelve days ), and complete the theory component at home: see distance learning

Enrolments are strictly limited each year and we take only those students interested in becoming leaders of their chosen profession.

Anyone wishing to enrol must be employed as an apprentice in a salon. If you have already started your training at Tafe you may transfer to us at no cost to the employer or student. You complete and submit the on line enrolment form and attend an interview with the Principal, where you will be assessed on grooming, and enthusiasm and attitude for consideration for a place in our training program.
