This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have specialised knowledge to design and safely apply IPL and laser to reduce unwanted hair on face and body and to rejuvenate the skin.
Entry requirements
To enrol in this course individuals will need to meet the following requirements:
- A Diploma of Beauty Therapy or a relevant qualification at Diploma level or above in medical health.
- Significant work experience as a beauty therapist (minimum one year)
To achieve the post graduate certificate in Intense pulsed light and laser hair reduction and skin rejuvenation the following must be completed:
All 5 core units
- HLTIN402B - Maintain infection control standards in office practice settings
- SIBBHRS705A - Apply intense pulsed light and Laser safety protocols
- SIBBHRS706A - Design intense pulsed light and laser hair reduction treatment programs
- SIBBHRS707A - Provide intense pulsed light and laser hair reduction treatments
- SIBBRES702A - Investigate developments in cosmetic treatments using light or laser systems
Course is completed over 5 Thursdays from 9am – 5pm and 200 hours in the workplace.
