Distance Education
It is possible to study the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy WRB40105 and Certificate 11 in makeup by distance learning.
Our distance education program is particularly suitable for those students living in country areas, or who are not able to attend our colleges at Bella Vista or North Strathfield.
The program is designed to allow you to study at your own pace and is a combination of home based theory learning including assignments, and practical workshops held for 4 days x 3 times a year at our colleges.
You will be required to practice what you have learnt in the workshop at home and to keep records of your practice on family and friends.
Obtaining practical in salon experience is desirable but not essential.
You are also welcome to come to our student clinic for practical experience
Are my qualifications the same as coming to full time study?
You will have your final practical assessments with our college assessors and will graduate with the same qualifications as our full time students. Average time frame to complete the course ( Certificate 1V in Beauty Therapy WRB40105) by correspondence is 12-18 months.
Pre-requisites
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Age over 16 years.
- Computer access for assignments
- You will need to purchase a folding massage bed, approx cost $150
Career prospects
On successful completion of the course you will be qualified to open your own business, or work from home, work in a day spa or salon, work for a cosmetic company, possible work with the medical profession , travel overseas, the list is endless.
You may start the course at any time, but will need to complete all theory units for each section before attending a practical workshop.
When Can I Start?
You can start this course anytime, by starting the units with the practical workshop approx 3 months from starting theory.
Support
You will have a trainer available to help you via e-mail or telephone and all practical treatments will be supported by our own instructional DVDs.
Cost of course
$10,500 payable in 3 instalments of $3,500
If you wish to upgrade to the Diploma, this is available at successful completion of Certificate IV at an additional cost of $2,000

Enrolment procedure
Complete the on-line enrolment form stating you are doing distance learning and submit the form.
The principal will contact you and email you the student handbook so you are very clear about our policies and procedures.
You will complete the training agreement and forward to us.
You will pay your first instalment of $3,500
You will then be sent all your notes for the first part of the course, given the dates of your first practical workshop, and are on your way to fulfilling your dreams!
