You will have the opportunity of learning from some of Sydney’s top makeup artists who share their experiences knowledge and skills with you.

Many of our students go on to work in fashion, movie sets and major makeup brands. One of our past students was sent to Paris to train and became the face of Sephora as one of their leading makeup artists

UNDERPINNING KNOWLEDGE INCLUDING

  • Contraindications and their relationship to make-up services:
  • Make-up principles
  • Colour design
  • Colour wheel
  • Colour analysis
  • Primary, secondary, complementary colours and greyscale
  • Make up for various facial shapes
  • The appearance of common skin types and conditions and their relationship to make-up services
  • Selection, care and infection control for make-up equipment, products and tools
  • Specific make-up products and colour application techniques

ATTENDANCE

Combination of face to face and self-paced learning. Face to face learning will normally be 6 full days or 12 evenings for practical tuition and 20 hours practising on paying clients. Time is to be allowed to complete the underpinning knowledge assessment at home and return to the Academy for 4 different practical assessments.

Duration

This course is expected to be completed in 6 weeks but this can be adjusted according to individual student needs.

It includes:
- 4 days face to face tuition or 8 evenings face to face tuition
- Practicing on friends and family (approx 20 hours)
- Home research and study
- Underpinning knowledge theory and practical observation assessments (required to be completed face to face at the Academy for an additional 4 half days)

Whilst the majority of students are confident at the end of the period you are welcome to attend as many workshops as you need at no extra cost if you need additional help

All assessments must be completed within 3 months or additional charges apply

Please note courses are non-refundable after course commencement however we are happy to move you to another course date if you are unable to attend due to sickness or circumstances
