As Dermal therapy skills are highly desirable for a cosmetic injector the following is the most suitable pathway.

1) Study the SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy with The Australian Academy of Beauty Dermal and Laser and SHB60221 Advanced Diploma of Dermal Therapy
These courses give you a valuable basis for your future career
Approximately 1 year

2) Enrol in the Batchelor of Dermal Sciences at Victoria University
This is the ultimate course for a Dermal clinician.

Our students receive one full year off the 4 year degree as our Diploma of Beauty Therapy is counted as the first year. Additional credits may be given for units in SHB60221 3 years

3) Complete a Master’s in Nursing Practice. This gives you the Registered nursing qualification and the Batchelor of Dermal Science is regarded as a pathway for this course. Up to 2 years

4) Register with AHPRA The Australian health Practitioner Regulation Agency5) Complete a Graduate Diploma of cosmetic nursing and injectables
Approximately 10 months
