The SHB40121 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy course is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government through Smart and Skilled.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work as beauty therapists to provide a range of beauty therapy treatments and services including lash and brow treatments, nail services, make-up, massage and waxing. They communicate with clients to recommend treatments and services and sell retail skincare and cosmetics. One day a week for the apprenticeship program over 46  weeks. Includes learners’ workbooks and notes and all classroom supplies.

Entry Requirements

1. Minimum age of 16 
2. Language literacy and numeracy skills to read and comprehend learning materials and perform tasks related to the job description, interpret workplace policies and procedures etc.                                                                       To ensure prospective students have the ability to complete the course, all students will complete a LLN test through LLN Robot prior to enrolment being finalised.
3. Australian citizen or permanent resident
4. USI number
5. To enrol under the apprenticeship pathway you must be employed as an apprentice in a beauty salon in addition to the entry requirements above

Apprentices attend us one day a week for 46 weeks, and complete the remaining 2 years of their apprenticeship in their salon.
