ARE YOU WANTING TO OWN OR MANAGE A SALON?

The beauty industry is a multi billion  dollar industry and one of the fastest growing industries in the world. There is a huge shortage of supervisors and managers in salons and spas.

This Diploma will give you a strong competitive advantage over your peers for an industry management role.

This qualification reflects the role of senior managers and small business owners of personal services businesses. They are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the business and for planning, monitoring and evaluating the work of the team. Salon managers also operate with significant autonomy to make strategic business management decisions.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a salon manager in any type of personal services business including hairdressing or beauty salons, barber shops and spas.

Delivery is a combination of online theory and trainer webinars  and or face to face classes, and practical application in our Student Spa or your workplace.

Day Students

This course is normally completed over 12 months in conjunction with the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

If a stand alone course it is normally completed within 6 months and timetables adjusted for individual requirements .

Evening Students

This course is normally completed over 12 months in conjunction with the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

If a stand alone course it is normally completed within 6 months and timetables adjusted for individual requirements .

In addition  to class hours you will be required to do home research and assessment activities and self paced learning .

Classes are held at Bella Vista, Rockdale and North Strathfield.

There are 10 units in the SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• All prospective students are to have a one on one interview with the CEO of The Academy or another senior manager. This is to ensure prospective students display a real interest in the course, and understand the commitments of the course.
• A high standard of grooming and a caring nurturing personality are other requirements to being a successful salon manager.

• Laptop, or iPad recommended for class but not essential
• Computer and internet required at home for research and theory assessments

• Uniform (cost $165)
• Closed in flat rubber soled shoes

The Australian Academy of Beauty Dermal and Laser  is a private registered training organisation RTO 90094  with over 43 years  experience and offers an alternative to studying beauty therapy courses at TAFE.

Our classes are small to ensure the nurturing and support of each individual student and our first class facilities provide a fully commercial salon and clinic, with private cubicles to ensure all students are workplace ready on graduation.

Vet Student Loans are available to qualifying students for SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy and SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management

PLEASE NOTE: VET Student Loans will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements. A VET student loan gives rise to a HELP debt that continues to be a debt to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.
