Graduate Gracy

When Covid19 hit us here in Australia, it was a complete personal reset for me.
I was expecting my second child and I wanted to pursue a meaningful career change in a profession which would aligned with my own wellbeing and suit my family life better. I remember signing up for an orientation evening, meeting you Olivia and having a lengthy chat which ended up being in fact the exact push I needed to get started. I began the Diploma of Beauty Therapy course in Feb 2021 and graduated in Feb 2022. I was already employed as a beauty therapist in a leading five stars establishment in Sydney before I had even completed the course but my end goal was always to open my very own luxury spa. My trainers, Kimberley and Naz were super passionate about the Beauty Industry and absolute gems to learn from. They went above and beyond to help every single student in the class to succeed especially when face to face teaching was restricted, they remained positive and made classes enjoyable, engaging which kept us focused and determined to keep going.

In October 2022, I opened the doors to Le Spa Orla, a luxury boutique spa, providing refined wellness experiences.
I sincerely love caring for individuals and helping them relax whoever they may be or what are their stories. I believe, everyone is entitled to self care and pampering and this is what a visit at my spa embodies, an escape from busy lifestyle, a moment to catch a breath and recharge your batteries leaving you feeling restored on your way out, ready to tackle the rest of the day.
This year alone, I been a nominated and I am a finalist at The Lower North Shore Local Business Awards 2023 in the Outstanding Beauty Services category. This month,  I have received an Entrepreneurship Award as well in recognition of an Outstanding Performance as an Afro Caribbean Entrepreneur in NSW.

I am grateful for AABT for laying the foundation necessary for me to build a successful beauty business. I have pampered an endless amount of guests and being able to make such a positive impact to their wellbeing still gives me goosebumps to this day because this right there, it is a genuine service.
